James B. McNamara - Outgoing Correspondence

The correspondents include American Communists Earl Browder, William Foster and Anita Whitney, as well as non-communists John Dewey, Clarence Darrow, and Edward Filene. Labor leaders William Green and Samuel Gompers received unfriendly letters. McNamara also wrote to another labor figure, Sidney Hillman, as well as to his lawyer, Leo Gallagher. Others that he wrote to include Sinclair Lewis, Lincoln Steffens, Fremont Older, A.J. Mooney, Also, J.B. wrote to his family: his mother Mary, sisters Alice and Mary, his brothers John and Robert, and his niece Janice.
