Other Diseases Researched

Along with poliomyelitis, Dr. Sabin researched many other diseases throughout his long career. Some of the subjects found within the Sabin collection are AIDS, arthritis, cancer, encephalitis, enteroviruses, measles, and toxoplasmosis.
Dr. Sabin's research on toxoplasmosis with his colleague Dr. Harry Feldman is especially notable because of the development of the Sabin-Feldman dye test in the late 1940's. This dye test, used to help diagnose the disease, is still in use today.
