Description

Stamped stiff board vellum binding appears to be contemporary to the text. Virgil is a classical poet known for works such as the Aenied, written in the first century BCE. His poems have been translated and copied through the centuries. This translation was printed in Amsterdam in 1660 and was translated by Joost van den Vondel. Van den Vondel produced some of the greatest work of Dutch literature.
