Abstract
Description
This is a collection of 27 black and white photographs (likely silver gelatin) that were dry-mounted to foam core and framed. It is a collection of Don Nesbitt photographs depicting Findlay Market from the 1960's. These photographs have been exhibited at the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County in 2006 and 2015. Of the 27 photographs, there are 3 different sized groups. The photographs were previously stored and recieved by the lab in two open brown corrugated boxes, loosely packed with bubble wrap, with the frames exposed at the top of the boxes. All the photographs were unframed to remove brown acidic backing paper and masking tape and the glass was cleaned. Scratches on frames were touched up with black acrylic paint. The framed photographs were grouped by size into 8 groups for storage. Within the groups, frames were interleaved with ethafoam sheeting and corrugated board and then housed in custom-made corrugated banker's boxes with a drop down edge for easy access.
