dc.description | This is a boat oar award, awarded to Dr. Albert Sabin, who developed the oral polio vaccine. This item belongs to the Sabin Archives, one of the archival collections at the Winkler Center. The oar is approximately 62.5” in length. The paddle appears to have been previously damaged and repaired. There is a small green felt circle loosely attached at the tip of the handle for the paddle to rest on. | |
