A pair of link drawings show a proposed design for the placement of the William H. Taft sculpture; one drawing shows the design from overhead, and the other drawing shows the scene from an elevated perspective view, with the sculpture facing toward the bottom-left of the paper.

The sculpture is placed in the middle of a flat, trapezoidal area cut into a small hill; the broadest side of the area adjoins a walkway. Two rectangular benches sit behind the sculpture, at the rear of the flat area. A steep, grassy incline leads to the surface of the hill; the top of the incline is lined by shrubs. Deciduous trees line the sculpture area, at the rear and on either side. Additional benches are placed to the left and right of the entrance of the sculpture area. Behind the trees is the north-facing exterior wall of a brick building.

On the overhead drawing, the benches and shrub bed are labeled. Circles show the placement of the sculpture and the trees. Four additional benches are shown across a walkway that runs past the sculpture area. A compass in the top right corner shows that north is to the left of the drawing; this is the direction of the entrance of sculpture area. The footer of the drawing has the following text: Wm. H. Taft Statue, University of Cincinnati, LAW School SITE, Concept Study B, Jan 21. 1991. William T. Moore III. The artist's address is redacted.

On the perspective view drawing, the footer has the following text: William H. Taft Statue: North, College of Law, Site, Perspective View, University of Cincinnati: Concept Study B, Jan. 11, 1991, William T. Moore III. The artist's address is redacted.
