Description
This is a two volume set of encapsulated post bindings containing architectural prints by Samuel Hannaford. Both volumes were selected for digitization, however, the prints had previously been taped to the inside of the encapsulationsand could not be easily removed. Prior to digitization, treatment required carefully cutting open the encapsulations, removing the prints and drawings from the encapsulated sleeves by separating the prints from the double-stick tape and reducing the adhesive from both the prints and encapsulated pages. Once the prints were digitized, they were rehoused back into the cleaned encapsulated pages, and the edges were heat welded closed.
