Description
This is volume one of a two set volume of the title Traité élémentaire de chimie. The binding is a quarter leather binding with textured black paper covering the boards. The covers are laced to the text block on three recessed cords. The leather on the spine is purple color with some blind tooling decoration along the spine edge and false raise bands. The text block is sewn through the fold on three recessed cords. The edges are trimmed and speckled purple. Overall, the book is in good condition. The leather shows signs of wear with minor abrasion and delamination on the endcaps and outer joints. In addition, the board edges show signs of wear with small losses of the paper covering the boards.
